Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To support Thai civil society actions
  • To contribute to governance and development process in Thailand
  • To increase capacities and help establish an enabling environment for Thai civil society organisations

Priorities

  • To promote Labour Rights, Decent Work and Business and Human Rights (B+HR)
  • To promote other Fundamental Rights

Among financed actions

LOT 1:

  • To promote the freedom of association of workers
  • To promote standards and rights at work, for a safe and healthy working environment for all workers
  • To promote adherence to ILO’s conventions and the application of its principles
  • To support the implementation of the National Action Plan on Business and Human rights (NAP) of Thailand
  • To advocate for jobs that comply with decent work principles
  • To prevent, reduce and eventually eliminate workplace violence
  • To support tripartite social dialogues
  • To protect human rights in the context of business activities
  • To promote B+HR

LOT 2:

  • To improve the respect of women’s rights in Thailand
  • To promote women’s rights to end gender-based violence in Thailand
  • To protect forcibly displaced and other marginalised groups from violation of their human and labour rights
  • To support recommendations provided for Thailand in the latest Universal Periodic Review
  • To utilise the opportunities and addressing challenges of new technologies/digitalisation

Additional information

  • This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. In first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated.
  • Initial duration of the action: between 24 and 36 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person
  • Be a civil society organisation
  • Be a non-profit making entity
  • Be established in  Thailand, a Member State of the European Union or any other country
  • Be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 1.59 million euro
  • Amount of the grant:
    • Lot 1: 1,02 million euro
    • Lot 2: between 500.000 and 570.000 euro
  • Co-financing rate: between 85% and 95% of the total eligible costs
