Priorities and funded actions

Objective

  • To identify an experienced and qualified organisation or institution that would establish and manage a basket fund to support legal aid activities

Among financed actions

  • Legal aid services to arrested, accused and detained persons and victims and survivors of crime (especially to people in vulnerable situations, women and children)
  • Access to justice in criminal cases, especially crimes involving people in vulnerable situations, women and children
  • Provision of capacity building to legal aid service providers
  • Activities promoting coordination and networking among legal aid service providers

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
  • Initial duration of the action: between 36 and 46 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person
  • Be a non-profit-making entity
  • Be a specific type of organisation, such as: a non-governmental organisation, a public sector operator, private-sector agencies, institutions and organisations, a EU Member State (Development) Agency, or international (inter-governmental) organisations as defined by Article 156 of the EU Financial Regulation
  • Be established in a Member State of the European Union or any country considered eligible for less developed countries under the revised annex IV to the Cotonou Agreement
Financement
  • Amount of the grant: between 2.5 and 3 million euro
