Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To strengthen Civil Society Organisations as independent actors of good governance and development in their own right
  • To strengthen Indian Civil Society Organisations’ ability to engage as actors of good governance and development at the local, state and country level

Priorities

  • LOT 1: To strengthen CSO engagement in EU-India Partnerships’ policy dialogues and contributing to the effective implementation of the Global Gateway Strategy in India
  • LOT 2: To increase CSO capacity by developing or supporting existing CSO platforms, thereby enabling a coordinated approach and collective voice in developmental issues
  • LOT 3: To strengthen capacities of media actors for the promotion of freedom of expression, media freedom and pluralism online, combatting hate speech, extremism and disinformation

  • Advocacy
  • Organising and facilitating structured policy dialogue
  • Research, experience and knowledge sharing
  • Monitoring, reporting, networking and coalition building
  • Multi-actor partnership-building
  • Mentoring/supporting/providing capacity development among network members
  • Helping formulate and monitor policy-relevant outputs and indicators
  • Identifying, tracking and updating resource mobilisation, with a core focus on EU and India
  • Conducting workshops, seminars, webinars, panel discussions and/or conferences

Additional information

  • This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. In first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated.
  • Initial duration of the action: between 36 and 48 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person
  • Be non-profit-making
  • Be a specific type of organisation such as: civil society organisations or a civil society organisation association
  • Be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 9 million euro
  • Amount of the grant: between 1.5 and 3 million euro
  • Co-financing rate: between 75% and 90% of the total eligible costs
