Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To promote the green and sustainable growth and an environmentally sound, gender/youth sensitive and economically viable diversification of the economy
  • To support the creation and consolidation of MSMEs and start-up companies, particularly created or/and managed by women and young entrepreneurs, in sectors outside the agriculture, forestry, and biodiversity nexus, which invest in green, circular, climate smart and digital business solutions and that create decent jobs along sustainable value chains for goods and services in Zambia

Priorities

  • Priority 1:  Improve formalisation, competences, management of MSME with growth potential, particularly those led by women and young entrepreneurs, and increase access to finance to improve product quality, product diversification and green and circular economy
  • Priority 2: Upgrade and expand the MSME support service offer by the Zambian business and financial service providers
  • Priority 3: Support innovation and commercialisation of emerging technologies, particularly those supporting diversification and greener and circular business models

Additional information

  • This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. In first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated.
  • Initial duration of the action: between 42 and 48 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person
  • Be a public or private entity
  • Be a profit making or non-profit making entity
  • Be a NGO, a civil society organisations, an international organisation
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 22.700.000 euro
  • Amount of the grant: between 22.700.000 and 22.700.000 euro
  • Co-financing rate: between 90% and 100% of the total eligible costs

This grant is a lump sum grant.
