Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To contribute to the support and development of creative entrepreneurship in Morocco, and to job creation in this sector
  • To manage Jewish-Moroccan cultural spaces and promote cultural diversity in connection with the preservation and enhancement of the tangible and intangible heritage in Morocco

Priorities

  • Priority 1: protection, restoration and enhancement of cultural and heritage areas
  • Priority 2: management of cultural spaces
  • Priority 3: promoting cultural diversity in Morocco

Among financed actions

  • Cultural programming activities
  • Management and development of heritage or cultural spaces by moroccan cultural and creative players (including cultural centres, art centres, museums)
  • Joint actions with public institutions and/or local authorities)
  • Activities dedicated to the revitalisation of spaces (with the exception of new construction activities)
  • Activities to promote and enhance cultural diversity in Morocco and intercultural dialogue in Morocco, with at least some of the activities contributing to the enhancement of the tangible and/or intangible Judeo-Moroccan heritage

Additional information

  • This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. First, only concept notes should be submitted for evaluation.
  • Initial duration of the action: Between 36 and 48 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal entity
  • Be one of the following categories of organisation: association including foundation, professional association, university, research centre, public sector operator
  • Be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action together with the
    co-applicant(s) and the affiliated entity/entities and not act as an intermediary
  • Have regularly carried out activities in the field of the protection and enhancement of Moroccan heritage and/or the promotion of cultural diversity in Morocco, and more specifically in the areas of intervention covered by this call for proposals
Financement
  • Total budget for the call: 3 million euro
  • Amount of the grant: Between 1.3 and 1.5 million euro
  • Co-financing rate : Between 51% and 90% of total eligible costs
