Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To enhance the participation and mobilisation of citizens and local communities in solving local problems
  • To support eco-friendly socio-economic development that will generate green job opportunities for young people and women
  • To improve cross-border exchanges and cooperation with neighbouring countries

Priorities

  • Priority 1: Conservation and valorisation of culture, natural and cultural heritage and values
  • Priority 2: Improving the offer of sustainable eco-friendly tourism
  • Priority 3: Enhancing mutual understanding and cooperation with Albania and Greece for the preservation and sustainable development of the Prespa Lake area

Among financed actions

  • Actions improving mutual understanding, good neighbourly relations and respect of cultural heritage and values between the peoples of the Prespa area
  • Actions related to the preservation of customs, historical and traditional values of the Prespa area
  • Business opportunities for local service providers and operators in the field of tourism (non-for-profit)
  • Development of quality, sustainable tourism offer in form of products, routes, activities, facilities and services as a basic prerequisite for sustainable tourism development of the area
  • Cross-border people-to-people events with neighbouring countries (Greece and Albania)
  • Exchange of best practice and success stories in the management of protected areas, sustainable and organic agriculture, cultural heritage protection, eco-tourism promotion

Additional information

  • This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. In first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated.
  • Initial duration of the action: between 18 and 36 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal entity
  • Be non-profit-making
  • Be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 1.47 million euro
  • Amount of the grant: between 150,000 and 400,000 euro
  • Cofinancing rate: between 60% and 90% of the total eligible costs
