Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To strengthen local CSOs as full actors in good governance and development. The action aims to contribute to an inclusive, participatory, autonomous and independent civil society and democratic space and to an inclusive and open dialogue with civil society organisations and among CSOs themselves
  • Strengthen the capacity of local CSOs to deliver quality basic social services, while systematically including efforts to strengthen the organisational capacity of these CSOs and to carry out advocacy in order to contribute to positive and transformative long-term effects

Priorities

  • Priority 1- School and social inclusion of children in vulnerable situations
  • Priority 2- Implementation of active pedagogy in schools
  • Priority 3- Positive parenting education
  • Priority 4- Functional literacy for parents
  • Priority 5- Listening to and empowering parents, especially mothers who are heads of households
  • Priority 6- Life skills training including comprehensive sexuality education
  • Priority 7- Career guidance and awareness-raising for self-employment
  • Priority 8- Support for training and integration schemes for young people in vulnerable situations
  • Priority 9- Integration and empowerment of young people through sport, culture and artistic creation
  • Priority 10- Digital literacy for disadvantaged young people
  • Priority 11- Education for citizenship, information and media literacy, environmental education

Additional information

  • This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. In the first instance, only short notes will be evaluated.
  • Initial duration of the action: between 36 and 48 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person
  • Not for profit
  • Belong to the following category of organisation: non-governmental organisation (INGO, NGO or CSO)
  • Be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and the affiliated entity/entities and not act as an intermediary
  • Have already carried out development activities of the type covered by this call for proposals
  • Have sufficient capacity and experience to carry out the grant, i.e. have implemented (as lead or co-applicant) at least one comparable project of an amount at least equal to 50% of the amount of the project proposed under this call for proposals within the last five years
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 2.768.775 euros
  • Amount of the grant: between 500.000 euro and 1.5 million euro
  • Co-financing rate: between 51% and 95% of the total eligible costs
