Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To contribute to the full enjoyment of all human rights, be they civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights, by all, and to work together with all key actors to advance their realisation
  • To protect and empower individuals and to promote a global system for human rights and democracy, with a particular focus on: Business and Human Rights (Lot 1), Generalised Scheme of Preferences Plus (GSP+) (Lot 2), Combatting Forced labour (Lot 3), Equality and inclusion of LGBTIQ persons (Lots 4 and 5), Freedom of Religion or Belief (Lot 6)

Priorities

  • Priority 1: Prevent corporate harm and ensuring corporate accountability (Lot 1)
  • Priority 2: Ensure monitoring and transparency (Lot 2)
  • Priority 3: Monitor and report systems that can reduce the risk of forced labour and improve decent work conditions (Lot 3)
  • Priority 4: Take part in social dialogue with the government and the employers on issues linked to forced labour (Lot 3)
  • Priority 5: Improve the working conditions of the most vulnerable groups affected by forced labour (migrant workers, domestic workers, woment workers but also youth, indigenous peoples and ethnic minorities and people living with disabilities) (Lot 3)
  • Priority 6: Strenghtening legal frameworks and policies to better protect workers and prevent forced labour but also that encourage partnerships between workers’ organisations, civil society groups, and companies to promote responsible business practices and reduce the risk of forced labour (Lot 3)
  • Priority 7: Collect and analyse date (disaggregated by sex, age, and disability) on the prevalence of forced labour and the effectiveness of interventions to combat it (Lot 3)
  • Priority 8: Rule of law, social inclusion and empowerment of civil society (Lot 4 and 5)
  • Priority 9: Promote and protect Freedom of Religion or Belief for all, with a particular focus on countries or situations where individuals are penalised or persecuted for the act of freely choosing, changing or abandoning their religion or belief (Lot 6)
  • Priority 10: Promote the right either alone or in community with others, in public or private, to express or manifest a religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance, including artistic and cultural expressions and enjoyment of cultural/religious heritage (Lot 6)
  • Priority 11: Prevent and combat discrimination, intolerance, and violence on grounds of religion or belief in all its forms, whether committed by governmental or non-governmental actors (Lot 6)

  • This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. In first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated.
  • Initial duration of the action: between 36 and 60 months

  • Be a legal person
  • Be a public or private entity
  • Be a non-profit making entity
  • Be a non-governmental civil society organisation (CSO)
  • Be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary
  • Have mandates and actions that respects the rights, freedoms and principles set out in the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union of 7 December 2000

  • Total budget of the call: 36 million euro

    • Lot 1: 10 million euro
    • Lot 2: 5 million euro
    • Lot 3: 5 million euro
    • Lot 4: 5.5 million euro
    • Lot 5: 5 million euro
    • Lot 6: 5.5 million euro
  • Amount of the grant:
    • Lot 1: between 1.670.000 and 3.330.000 euro
    • Lot 2: 5 million euro
    • Lot 3: between 1.670.000 and 3.330.000 euro
    • Lot 4: between 1 million and 3 million euro
    • Lot 5: between 1 million and 3 million euro
    • Lot 6: between 1 million and 2.750.000 euro
  • Co-financing rate: between 51% and 95% of the total eligible costs
