Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To improve and strengthen the skills and capacities of women’s and youth organisations in particular, and CSOs in general, in the design and implementation of socio-economic development actions that integrate gender equality
  • To promote civil society initiatives that facilitate the structuring of youth and women’s movements, and minorities with a view to their participation in public affairs, access to economic, social and cultural rights

Priorities

  • Priority 1: To draw up a map of civil society organisations in the various departments of the country
  • Priority 2: To support the structuring of organisations working on gender equality issues and actions aimed at advocating the adoption and implementation of inclusive public policies
  • Priority 3: To strengthen the organisation and operation of CSOs representing young people, women and Congolese minorities, as well as their involvement in initiatives aimed at involving them in the design and implementation of social and economic public policies
  • Priority 4: To build the capacity of community leaders on gender equality and their ability to formulate and propose inclusive development strategies to public decision-makers
  • Priority 5: To contribute to the professionalisation and economic autonomy of young people, women and minorities
  • Priority 6: to contribute to the emergence of associative leaders active in taking gender equality into account in public policies at local and national levels
  • Priority 7: To encourage actions that promote networking between associations working to mainstream gender equality in development strategies

Additional information

  • This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. In first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated.
  • Initial duration of the action: between 36 and 48 months

Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 3,900,000 euro
  • Total budget of the topic:
    • Lot 1: 1,300,000 euro
    • Lot 2: 1,300,000 euro
    • Lot 3: 1,300,000 euro
  • Co-financing rate: between 50% and 90% of total eligible costs
