Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To support the implementation of the European Union’s commitment to civil society and youth in Senegal
  • To operationalise a mechanism for monitoring, evaluation and valorisation of the results and impacts of the projects and programmes funded under the CSO Roadmap 2021-2024
  • To put in place a mechanism to develop young people’s skills through initiatives to promote culture as an extracurricular activity in support of their education and citizenship as a lever for their inclusion in their communities

Priorities

  • Priority 1: The development and operationalisation of an inclusive mechanism for monitoring, evaluating and enhancing the results and impacts of projects and programmes supported by the European Union (EU and Member States present in Senegal) as well as a mechanism for facilitating dialogue between the EU and civil society
  • Priority 2: Support for the promotion of culture as an extracurricular activity for the education and citizenship of young people as a lever for their inclusion in their communities

Among financed actions

  • Mapping of actors involved in the implementation of the roadmap of the EU commitment to civil society including projects and programmes
  • Monitoring and impact assessment of projects and programmes, specifically run by youth organisations for youth
  • Implementation of a student-led extracurricular programme: promoting culture for education and citizenship of young people as a lever for their inclusion in their communities

Additional information

  • This is a restricted call for proposals. In the first instance, only short notes will be evaluated
  • Initial duration of the action: between 30 and 36 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person
  • Be non-profit making
  • Belong to one of the following categories of organisation:
    • for lot 1, a platform or network of civil society organisations;
    • for lot 2, a CSO (civil society organisation), association, NGO (non-governmental organisation)
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 1 million euro
    • Lot 1: 700.000 euro
    • Lot 2: 300.000 euro
  • Amount of the grant:
    • Lot 1: 700.000 euro
    • Lot 2: 300.000 euro
  • Co-financing rate: between 90 and 97 % of the total eligible costs
