Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To contribute to an inclusive, participatory, empowered, and independent civil society in Jordan as well as an inclusive and open dialogue with and between civils society organisations
  • To support civil society organisations in Jordan working on human rights (political, economic, social and cultural), democratisation, good governance and development in Jordan

Priorities

  • Priority 1: Women’s rights and increased participation of women in society
  • Priority 2: To fight against misuse of digital technologies, including hate speech and attacks on the freedom of expression
  • Priority 3: CSOs Coordination Mechanism for Sustainable Development

Among financed actions

  • Capacity building activities, lobbying, developing strategies of change, researching, monitoring, documenting and reporting about human rights violations
  • Certification, or development of a certification system, to award women friendly enterprises and businesses
  • Anti-sexual harassment at work activities, in particular if they go beyond awareness raising campaigns
  • Preventing domestic violence and support to victims of domestic violence
  • Fighting harassment of women in social media
  • Activities to mobilise and empower underrepresented and/or vulnerable groups

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
  • Initial duration of the action: between 24 and 36 months

  • Be a legal person
  • Be a non-profit-making entity
  • Be a non-governmental organisation
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 3.5 million euro
    • Lot 1: 1.5 million euro
    • Lot 2: 1 million euro
    • Lot 3: 1 million euro
  • Amount of the grant:
    • Lot 1: between 500.000 and 750.000 euro
    • Lot 2 and 3: between 500.000 and 1 million euro
  • Co-financing rate: between 60 and 95% of the total eligible costs
