Priorities and funded actions

Objectives 
* To support the establishment of a pan-European tool, in this case a platform, that facilitates the uptake and use of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data by regional and local public administrations across Europe, with the aim to enhance public administration efficiency and effectiveness in user-centric services

Priorities
* Facilitating knowledge sharing on European, national and regional legislation and regulatory frameworks related to AI and BD;
* Sharing best practices for strategic drivers towards digitalisation, such as:
> Infrastructures;
> Data and services;
> Digital skills and communities
* To promote the use of interoperable, open urban data platforms to facilitate the management of various cross-sectoral data flows and large number 4 of stakeholders, in line with the Living-in.eu declaration and its technical specifications;
* Sharing of data sets, algorithms and knowledge on AI and BD applications for public services;
* Enhancing skills and capabilities of civil servants on AI and BD, including peer learning for managers;
* Developing and sharing new ways of working, including smart working;
* Generating insights into useful policy approaches on the regional, national and EU-Level to further facilitate the use of AI in public administrations

* Designing, implementing and testing an interoperable infrastructure;
* Conferences, seminars, workshops, webinars;
* Training activities;
* Awareness and dissemination actions;
* Actions aiming at the creation and improvement of networks, exchanges of good practices;
* Studies, analyses, mapping projects;
* Research activities;
* Hackathons

Additional information
* This call for proposals is an open call for proposals

* Initial duration of the action: maximum 24 months

Eligibility:
– Be a member of consortium;
– Be a national, regional or local public authority;
– Be a non-profit organisation (private or public, including those that represent regional or local public authorities);
– Be an international organisation;
– Be a university;
– Be an educational institution;
– Be a research center;
– Be a profit-making entity;
– Be a natural person: natural persons are eligible as part of a consortium but the project cannot be coordinated by a natural person

Financement

* Grant amount: up to 850,000 euros

* Co-financing rate: up to 75% of the total eligible costs
