Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To contribute to a sustainable energy transition in Viet Nam.
  • To increase public and private-sector awareness of renewable energy (RE) & energy efficiency (EE) policies/programmes, and the effectiveness of RE/EE practices and initiatives are significantly raised, contributing to sustainable energy supply, consumption and security in Viet Nam, the country’s transition towards a low-carbon economy and increased gender diversity in the energy sector.

Priorities

  • Prority 1: to equip key public and private stakeholders with understanding and knowledge of RE/EE policies, the effectiveness of RE/EE measures and initiatives and gender-sensitivity; and
  • Priority 2: to improve media communication and coverage on RE/EE and gender-sensitivity in the energy sector.

Among financed actions

  • Actions aiming at supporting actions in line with the specific objectives listed
  • Actions should be self-contained operations and results-oriented indicating a coherent set of activities with clearly defined operational objectives, target groups and planned, tangible outcomes, within a limited timeframe
  • Actions must be conceived to produce specific, measurable results which are in response
    to a particular issue
  • Actions must have clear objectives based on a strategy and methodology, an integrated
    approach with various complimentary activities and be likely to directly address the issue in question

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
  • Initial duration of the action: between 42 and 48 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person and be non-profit-making
  • Be a Civil Society Organisation (CSO) or International Organisation
  • Be established in Viet Nam or in a Member State of the European Union or in a eligible country or territory, as defined in the Regulation (EU) No 236/2014 (this obligation does not apply to international organisations)
  • One of the applicants must have had a presence in Viet Nam for at least 3 years at the time the call for proposals is launched (this obligation does not apply to international organisations)
Financement
  • Total amount of the call: 3.5 million euro
  • Amount of the grant: between 3.2 and 3.5 million euro
  • Co-financing rate: between 50% and 90% of the total eligible costs of the action
