Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To improve civil protection preparedness and response to all kinds of disasters inside or outside the Member States/Participating States of the Mechanism
  • To achieve a higher level of protection against disasters with cross-border impacts or that may affect several Member States
  • To support the implementation of the Union disaster resilience goals through the development, validation of DRM tools, operational concepts and procedures, and knowledge exchange
  • To contribute to building new and developing further existing competencies, skills, knowledge and expertise in civil protection and DRM at individual, organisational and institutional levels, including through dedicated learning and training opportunities
  • To strengthen knowledge partnerships between civil protection and DRM actors and, including where appropriate marine pollution authorities; and to support the uptake of scientific outcomes by operational stakeholders
  • To contribute to raising further awareness of citizens, local municipalities, businesses and other relevant stakeholders on the risks they face and options for reducing their vulnerability

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
  • Initial duration of the action: 24 months

Eligibility

  • Be legal entities (public or private bodies)
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 15 million euro
    • Prevention topic: 7 million euro
    • Preparedness topic: 5 million euro
    • Full-scale field exercises topic: 3 million euro
  • Co-financing rate: up to 85% of the total eligible costs
