Funding Scheme: 2013-07-22
Pgm2014 2020: Yes
Although the regulation of the Erasmus + programme has not been adopter, the Commission decided, on the basis of the political agreement reached so far, to publish templates for inter-institutional agreements. These agreements concluded between sending and receiving institutions permit the implementation of mobilities between higher education institutions.
The publication of the template should permit to the potential beneficiaries to start preparer their agreements and thus to allow a smooth implementation of the Erasmus + programme.
This template, aiming at ensuring student and staff mobility of high quality, is valid only for inter-institutional agreements between institutions located in current programme countries (EU Member States, Iceland, Turkey, fYRoM, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland). A template for inter-institutional agreements between programme and partner countries (all other countries) will be published at a later stage. The template is provided for academic years 2014-2015 up to 2020-2021.
Inter-institutional agreements are no longer limited to bilateral arrangements and can be signed between more than two higher education institutions, so providing for mobilities between groupings of institutions. The agreements may be circulated electronically (no need of paper circulation anymore).
For information, below the duration of the exchanges between programme countries that should be supported by the programme:
• student mobility for studies: from 3 to 12 months
• student mobility for traineeships: from 2 to 12 months
• staff mobility: from 2 days (excluding travel time) to 2 months, with at least 8 hours teaching in case of teaching assignment
