Grants for development actions in the framework of Cotonou agreement between the ACP countries and the EU member States.


The European Union has decided to grant additionnal 104 million euro to help agriculture in Kenya. 
The aid will be subdivided into three projects:
– The first project aims to provide water and sanitation facilities to close to 400 000 people in arid and semi-arid lands of Kenya (20 million euro).
– A 50 million euro project will support smallholder agriculture in Kenya, notably by helping it to increase productiveness, better adapt to evolving challenges and to integrate better into relevant markets.
– Finally, 34 million euro will be allocated to a programme for legal empowerment and aid delivery in Kenya, which targets 12 counties in the country.
