The Commission has adopted the ‘Interreg’ 2014-2020 programme for the Caribbean, with a total budget of EUR 86 million, of which EUR 64.2 million is from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).


The programme covers the outermost regions of Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique and Saint Martin, and around 40 third countries and overseas countries and territories (OCTs) in the Caribbean basin, especially the countries of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS), Caricom (Caribbean Community) and the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS).
The programme’s aim is to increase the area’s economic competitiveness, respond to shared environmental and health issues and promote the region’s cultural capital.
