Public Management, Information, Education - Training, Citizenship, Co-op & Development,-,

News Discussions have just begun, after the European Committe of the Regions took position in favour of the creation of an Erasmus programme for regional and local officials. This initiative would allow them the improve their knowledge on European issues.

This novelty, which would be added to the actual Erasmus + programme, may exist over the periode 2018-2020. Its objective would be to contribute to strenghten the knowledge of local representatives regarding European policies, the functioning of the institutions and the use of European funds.

This request, before the 2019 Europea elections, aims at improving the relationship between European citizens. It was requested that a working group be set up between members of the Commission, the Parliament and the Committe of the Regions, in order to add this possible programme into the 2018 budget.
