The European Union will dedicate 7 million euro to help restoring six monuments of the Aegean islands of Lesvos, Chios, Limnis, Rhodes, Sikinos and Kythnos.


The chosen monuments are major tourist attractions such as the Castle of Chios, a medieval citadel in the capital of the northeastern Aegean island. Indeed, The Greek Culture Ministry decided to introduce this project in the NSRF (National Strategic Reference Framework), the Greek reference document for the programming of the European Union Funds at national level.
