Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To support good practices in infection prevention and control and antimicrobial stewardship;
  • To develop best practices and implementation at all levels;
  • To support the commitment in the EU One Health Action Plan against AMR for the Commission to help to address patient safety in hospitals by supporting good practices in infection prevention and control and antimicrobial stewardship.

Priorities

  • Priority 1: enhance primary and secondary healthcare services;
  • Priority 2: reduce healthcare associated infections;
  • Priority 3: improve patient safety in relation to AMR in the participating hospitals and long-term care facilities.

Among financed actions

  • Training;
  • Implementation of enhanced infection prevention and control (IPC) practices;
  • Implementation of antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) in hospitals and in long-term care facilities;
  • Audit and feedback.

Additional information

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals.
  • Initial duration of the project: between 12 and 36 months.

Eligibility

  • Be a legal entity (public or private bodies) created under Union law or an international organisation;
  • Be established in one of the eligible countries.

 

Financement
  • Amount of the grant: 7 million euro;
  • Co-financing rate: up to 80% of total eligible costs.
