Europe grants 128 million euro to support social and economical development in Mediterranea

The European Neighbourhood Instrument (ENI) is the major European financial tool for funding projects in neighbouring countries. This trans-regional policy’s objective is to develop trans-border areas to turn them into prosperous and human rights concerned areas. 

European Commissioner in charge with neighbourhood policies and enlargment announced today the start of a new programm of 128 million euro in favor of cooperation and social and economical development in the south Mediterranean area. 

This aid will mainly benefit to Egypt (50 million euro) and Palestine (38,6 million euro). The objective is to support the creation of jobs, to improve water management, to promote women rights and to strengthen youth autonomy.
