The European Commission has adopted a new programme for Algeria to strengthen economic and political governance. This programme will be included in the SPRING programme (Support for Partnership, Reform and Inclusive Growth), created in response to the Arab Spring to support the democratic transition in the countries of the southern Mediterranean.
This new programme will support actions aiming at strengthening the rule of law, improving the fight against corruption and the management monitoring of public finances and to encourage the participation of all citizens in the development process.
