Spain and Greece will receive 45,6 million euro to respond to the migratory issues

The European Commission increase the budget for emergency assistance to Spain and Greece in order to face migratory challenges.

The European Commission increased the budget for the Asylum, Migration and Integration fund (AMIF). In particular, Spain will receive 25.6 million euro to improve the reception capacity for new arrivals by providing healthcare and food and to help to increase the returning of some migrants. Instead, Greece will receive 20 million euro for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to help manage the reception facilities provide further emergency accommodation.
