The workshop has an essential role in the ESPON project ‘Territorial Approaches for New GOvernance’ (ESPON TANGO). The project delves deeply into the conceptualisation and operationalisation of territorial governance across Europe. 
The aim is to provide evidence to support future territorial development policies in general and Cohesion Policies to improve regional competitiveness, social inclusion and sustainable and balanced growth of the European territory in particular.
