Seven projects selected under the first Innovation Fund call for large-scale projects

Seven projects, worth over €1 billion, located in Belgium, Italy, Finland, France, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain and Sweden, were selected under the first Innovation Fund call for large-scale projects.

The selected projects cover a wide range of relevant sectors to decarbonise different parts of Europe’s industry and energy sectors, such as chemicals, steel, cement, refineries, power and heat. They aim at reducing greenhouse gas emissions in an innovative way. On October 26th, the Commission launched the second call for large-scale projects, with a deadline on March 3rd 2022.
