Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To support the deployment of strategic networks as part of the Digital Global Gateway Strategy of the EU
  • To strengthen the qualityof connectivity within the Union as well as with third countries

Priorities

  • Priority 1: to support the deployment of backbone connectivity for routes within Member States (including OCTs), between Member States (including OCTs), and between Member States (including OCTs) and third countries

Among financed actions

  • To construct and deliver the described networking solution for the foreseen system lifetime, from end to end, including cable landing stations and the connectivity
  • To construct satellite ground stations and their interconnection with local networks
  • To construct the local access network
  • Studies

Additional information

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
  • Initial duration of the action: 36 months

Eligibility

  • Be legal entities (public or private bodies)
  • Be established in one of the eligible countries, i.e.: EU Member States (including overseas countries and territories (OCTs))
  • Entities from other countries (not listed above) are exceptionally eligible for projects of common interest
  • International organisations are eligible
  • Entities which do not have legal personality under their national law may exceptionally participate
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 100 million euro
  • Amount of the grant: 30 million euro
  • Co-financing rate:
    • Up to 50% for the costs of studies
    • Up to 70% for the costs of works in outermost regions
    • Up to 30% for all other costs
