Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To promote cross-sectoral activities that aim at adjusting to the structural and technological changes faced by the media, including enhancing a free, diverse, and pluralistic media environment, quality journalism and media, literacy including in the digital environment

Priorities

  •  Priority 1: fostering collaborative business transformation
  • Priority 2 : fostering collaborative journalism projects

Among financed actions

  • Events, online trainings and workshops for journalists, collaborative development of guidelines and editorial standards
  • Exchange programmes, online mentoring schemes
  • Financial support to collaborative journalism projects
  • Promotional activities or other activities that aim to uphold quality and diversity of journalism

Additional information

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
  • Initial duration of the action: 24 months

Eligibility

  • Be legal entities (public or private bodies)
  • Be established in one of the EU Member States or a country eligible to Creative Europe Programme
  • Be non-profit, public and private media outlets or other organisations focusing on news media
  • A consortium composed of at least 3 entities, established in at least 3 different EU Member States or associated countries to the programme must be constituted
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 10 million euro
  • Total budget of the topic: 5 million euro
  • Amount of the grant: 2 million euro per project
  • Co-financing rate: 80% of the total eligible costs
