The CROSS-SECTORAL strand aims at reinforcing collaboration between different cultural and creative sectors, in order to help them address the common challenges they face and find innovative new solutions. This is achieved for instance through policy cooperation, the services provided by the Creative Europe desks, and the Creative Innovation Lab.

Priorities and funded actions

Objectives 

  • To promote policy cooperation and innovative actions
  • To promote a diverse, independent and pluralistic media environment and media literacy
  • To promote freedom or artistic expression, intercultural dialogue and social inclusion

Priorities 

To promote cross-sectoral activities that aim at adjusting to the structural and technological changes faced by the media, including enhancing a free, diverse, and pluralistic media environment, quality journalism and media literacy, including in the digital environment.

Among financed actions

  • Creation and/or distribution of multilingual and/or multicultural material, including interactive content
  • Development of materials for citizens and trainers
  • Development of innovative media literacy solutions
  • Training activities for citizens and educators
  • Organisation of public events and/or workshops to raise awareness and share best practices

Additional information

  • This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. In first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated.
  • Initial duration of the action: 24 months

Eligibility

  • Be legal entities (public or private bodies)
  • Be established in one of the eligible countries
  • Be: a profit and non-profit organisation (private or public), a public authoritie (national, regional, local), an international organisation, an universitie and educational institution, a media organisation, a research and technology institution, a technology provider
  • A consortium composed of at least 3 entities, established in at least 3 different EU Member States or associated countries to the programme must be constituted
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 2.4 million euro
  • Amount of the grant: between 400 000 and 500 000 euro
  • Co-financing rate: up to 70% of the total eligible costs
