Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To enhance the European genomic data infrastructure by supporting the deployment of advanced tools for data curation
  • To boost the capacity of Member States to sequence human genomes through scaling up dedicated secure data storage and processing environments
  • Accelerate the uptake of EU AI-driven solutions that are ready to be deployed in healthcare settings for patient care and for research purposes
  • To reinforce the competitiveness and innovation leadership of the European automotive sector
  • To coordinate and support the pilot projects delivering Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI)
  • To increase productivity and innovation capacity through state of-the-art virtual worlds technologies

Eligibility

  • Be legal entities (public or private bodies)
  • Be established in one of the eligible countries, i.e.:
    • EU Member States (including overseas countries and territories (OCTs))
    • non-EU countries (except for topics with restrictions; see  in the call document):
    • listed EEA countries and countries associated to the Digital Europe Programme (list of participating countries)
  • Beneficiaries and affiliated entities must register in the Participant Register — before submitting the proposal — and will have to be validated by the Central Validation Service (REA Validation). For the validation, they will be requested to upload documents showing legal status and origin.
  • A consortium composed of :
    • at least 5 entities from 5 eligible countries must be constituted (DIGITAL-2026-AI-09-DS-HEALTH-STORAGE, DIGITAL-2026-AI-09-DS-HEALTH-TOOLS)
    • at least 7 entities from 7 eligible countries must be constituted (DIGITAL-2026-AI-09-SOLUTIONS-CANCER-STEP)
    • at least 3 entities (DIGITAL-2026-AI-09-ECAVA)
    • at least 3 entities from 3 eligible countries must be constituted (DIGITAL-2026-AI-09-GENAI-PA)
    • at least 4 entities from 3 eligible countries must be constituted out of which : minimum 1 research organisation and minimum 1 private company applicant per sector identified in the call (DIGITAL-2026-AI-09-VIRTUAL-TESTBEDS-STEP)
