Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

To seize the opportunities of advanced technologies for the digital transformation of the cultural heritage sector, like 3D, artificial intelligence or machine learning for increasing the quality, sustainability, use and re-use of data
To contribute to the common European data space of cultural heritage and build digital capacity by collaborating with existing and relevant European national and regional initiatives and platforms.

Priorities

Priority 1: Enriching the offer of data, tools and services available in the data space
Priority 2: Using existing Artificial Intelligence and machine-learning systems to improve user-engagement and experience
Priority 3: Re-use of, in particular, 3D digitised cultural heritage assets in important domains such as education, social sciences and humanities, tourism and the wider cultural and creative sector

Among financed actions

Actions to facilitate the digital transformation of the cultural sector and capacity building with easy online access to European cultural content
Conducting scientific research, preservation and restoration purposes, re-use by the cultural and creative sector
Provide numerous digital opportunities for the public, ranging from virtual visits to museums, libraries, galleries and heritage sites to history reconstruction and education

This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
Initial duration of the action: 24 months

Eligibility

Be legal entities (public or private bodies)
Be established in one of the eligible countries
A consortium of minimum 3 applicants from 3 different eligible countries

Financement

Total amount of the topic “DIGITAL-2022-CULTURAL-02-HERITAGE” : 4 million euro
Amount of the grant: between 1 and 1,3 million euro
Co-financing rate: between 50% and 75%
