Objectives

  • To progress Human Language Technologies (HLT) for defence applications
  • To create a European library of generic and adaptive human language technology components that offer high performances for several defence applications
  • To organise a technological challenge driving research toward enhanced HTL systems for defence applications

Additional information

  • This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. In first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated.
  • Initial duration of the action: 60 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal entity
  • A consortium composed of at least 3 entities, established in at least 3  different EU Member States or associated countries to the programme must be constituted
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 25 million euro
    • EDF-2023-LS-RA-CHALLENGE-DIGITHLTP: Agile and robust human language technologies for defence – Participation to a technological challenge: 18 million euro
    • EDF-2023-LS-RA-CHALLENGE-DIGITHLTO: Agile and robust human language technologies for defence – Organisation of a technological challenge: 7 million euro
  • Amount of the grant:
    • EDF-2023-LS-RA-CHALLENGE-DIGIT-HLTP: up to 6 million euro
    • EDF-2023-LS-RA-CHALLENGE-DIGIT-HLTO: up to 7 million euro
  • Co-financing rate: 100% of the total eligible costs

This grant is a lump sum grant.
