Objectives
Lot 1
* Enhancing the capacity of Yemeni local CSOs to play more effectively as independent development and peace actors

Lot 2
* Soutenir les défenseurs des droits de l’homme et la société civile dans la lutte contre les violations systématiques, généralisées et flagrantes des droits de l’homme et les atteintes aux libertés fondamentales.
* Soutenir la société civile dans la promotion des priorités de l’UE en matière de droits de l’homme au Yémen.
* Soutenir la société civile dans le renforcement de la participation démocratique au Yémen.

Lot 1
*Priority: Gender equality; youth; crisis and fragility

Lot 2
*Priority 1: Rights-based approach
*Priority 2: Capacity building
*Priority 3: Conflict sensitivity

Among financed actions
* Actions should include the strengthening of CSO’s capacity, including evidence based advocacy, negotiation and communication skills, coordination and networking.
* Actions should contain measures to ensure sustainability of their results.

Additionnal information 
* This call of proposals is an open call of proposals 
* Initial durationof the action: 24 months

Eligibility
Lot 2
– Being a legal person and
– Be a non-profit making and
– Be a non-governmental organisation, civil society organisation or community-based organisation
– To be established at/in:
– Yemen
– a Member State of the European Union (this obligation does not apply to international organisations)

*Indicative budget per lot :
– Lot 1 (CSO): 1.5 million euros
– Lot 2 (EIDHR): 1.2 million euros

*Amount of the grant for the 2 lots: between 300,000 and 600,000 euros
