Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To enhance the relevance of higher education for the successful implementation of the EU’s Global Gateway strategy
  • To improve the level of competences, skills and employability potential of students in HEIs
  • To promote inclusive education, equality, equity, non-discrimination and the promotion of civic competences
  • To improve the training of teachers and continuous professional development
  • To stimulate cooperation of institutions, capacity building and exchange of good practice

Priorities

  • Priority 1: Green Deal – Higher Education systems are crucial for supporting the Green Deal
  • Priority 2: Digital transformation – Raising the quality and inclusiveness of education through digital technologies
  • Priority 3: Integration of migrants – Education and training systems play a key role in addressing the challenges of migration as well as unlocking migration’s benefits
  • Priority 4: Governance, peace, security and human development – Commitment to the rule of law, human and fundamental rights,
    equality, democracy and good governance are the bedrock of stable, fair and prosperous societies
  • Priority 5 : Sustainable growth and jobs – Higher education is needed to build skills for life and work

  • National and Regional projects
  • Cross-regional projects
  • Activities aiming at ensuring high quality and relevant education
  • Innovative curricula in terms of content or structure, new learning methods, tools and materials

Eligibility

  • Be public or private legal entity
  • Be higher education institutions (HEIs) or organisations of HEIs
  • Be organisations or institutions active in the labour market or in the fields of education, training and youth
  • Be established in one of the eligible countries:
    • an EU Member State
    • a third country associated to the Programme
    • a third country not associated to the Programme from an eligible region (see call document)
  • A consortium composed of
    • at least 2 entities, which complies different conditions (see details on the call document) must be constituted (National projects strand 1 & 2)
    • at least 2 entities, which complies different conditions (see details on the call document) must be constituted (multi-country projects strand 1 & 2)
    • at least 2 entities, which complies different conditions (see details on the call document) must be constituted (strand 3)

  • Initial duration of the action:  between 24 and 48 months

Extensions are possible, if duly justified and through an amendment.
