Just Transition Mechanism – Promoting young participation in just transition – 2021

Objectives

• To promote, ogranise and evaluate the results of a call for projects dedicated to young people;
• To provide the European Commission with recommendations and lessons learned on young people participation in shaping cohesion policy investment linked to green transition.

Priorities

• Priority 1: To empowering young people and to make them actors in the definition and implementation of solutions that provide inclusiveness in the green transition;
• Priority 2: Accompanying young people in the implementation of projects that increase participation and involvement of people who are less exposed to the benefits from green transition.

Among financed actions

• Preparation, organisation and promotion of the call for projects;
• Managementof the call (launch, reception and evaluation of applications, award funding, monitoring of the implementation of the projects, payments, wrap-up);
• Set-up and management of a project information portal in English, based on open source technology, for visualisation of teens-projects on a map;
• Communication about teens’ projects and the whole initiative through the project information portal and social media;
• Evaluation and conclusion on the action and report to the Commission;
• Provision of recommendations for future actions.

• This call for proposals is an open call for proposals.
• Initial duration of the action: maximum 24 months.

Eligibility

• Be a legal entity (public or private);
• Be established in one of the EU Member States.

• Amount of the grant: up to 1 million euro
• Co-financing rate: up to 95% of the total eligible costs
