Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To strengthen local civil society organisations’ ability to engage as independent actors of good governance and development

Priorities

  • Priority 1: to promote an enabling environment for civil society society organisations and to prevent shrinking civic space
  • Priority 2: to strengthen the participation of civil society in policy- and decision-making processes

Among financed actions

  • Training, education, seminars, workshops, conferences, advocacy and lobbying
  • Legal work
  • Awareness raising activities

Additional information

  • This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. In first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated
  • Initial duration of the action: between 36 and 48 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person (public or private entity)
  • Be non profit-making
  • Be a specific type of organisation such as civil society organisations among them non-governmental organisations, community-based organizations, charitable society organisations; or private sector non-profit agencies; non-profit-making  universities and research organisations; or non-profit networks
  • Be established in Palestine at least 4 years before the launching date of this Call and officially registered with the competent Palestinian authorities
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 5 million euro
  • Total budget of the topic:
    • Lot 1: 3 million euro
    • Lot 2: 2 million euro
  • Amount of the grant: between  500 000 and 1.25 million euro
  • Co-financing rate: between 60% and 95% of the total eligible costs
