EDF – Modelling, simulation and simulator integration contributing to decision-making and training – 2022

Objectives

• To establish a Distributed Synthetic Training and decision-making capability in Europe
• To develop a flexible, scalable, on-demand simulation capability

Priorities

• Priority 1:  the design and development of a modular common technical framework, levering simulation services approach, which can meet the stated challenge and demonstrate the solution for use-cases in the training domain and in the decision support domain
• Priority 2: to address training at the tactical level, the operational level, as well as the strategic level for support to decision-making, and the integration of different types of simulators

Among financed actions

• Activities that aim to create, underpin and improve knowledge, products and technologies
• Activities that aim to increase interoperability and resilience, including secured production and exchange of data
• Design of a defence product, tangible or intangible component or technology

Additional information

• This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
• Initial duration of the action: between 12 and 48 months
• The grant amount will be fixed in the grant agreement

Eligibility

• Be a legal person
• Be established in one of the eligible countries
• Be a consortium composed of at least 3 independant entities from at least 3 different eligible countries

• Total budget of the call: 510 million euro
• Total budget of the topic: 30 million euro
• Co-financing rate: between 20 and 100%
