Priorities and funded actions
Objectives
To promote exchanges between citizens of different countries
To give citizens practical experience of the wealth and diversity of the common heritage of the Union and to make them aware that these constitute the foundation for a common future
To guarantee peaceful relations between Europeans and to ensure their active
participation at the local level
To reinforce mutual understanding and friendship between European citizens
To encourage cooperation between municipalities and the exchange of best practices
To support good local governance and reinforce the role of local and regional authorities in the European integration process
Priorities
Priority 1: To foster solidarity across generations and borders, emphasizing the importance of unity between citizens and Member States
Priority 2: To give citizens a platform to express their vision for Europe and challenge euroscepticism
Priority 3: To promote broad and inclusive participation in democratic processes, including children’s involvement in matters that concern them
Priority 4: To promote awareness of EU citizenship rights, free movement, and fundamental rights, making them more tangible for EU citizens
Priority 5: To improve democratic participation through cultural activities, inspired by the New European Bauhaus, and to address the needs of targeted groups in twinned municipalities

Eligibility
Be a legal person
Be a public or private entity
Be established in one of the eligible countries:
EU Member States (including overseas countries and territories)
Non-EU states: countries associated to the Cerv Programme (Click here)
A consortium composed of at least 2 entities, established in at least 1 different EU Member States or associated countries to the programme must be constituted

Initial duration of the action: between 6 and 12 months
