EUROPEAN DEFENCE FUND (EDF) – 1st call for proposals for common procurement actions under the Programme – 2026

Objectives

• To support the common procurement of integrated systems or parts thereof (including sensors, kinetic or nonkinetic effectors – including direct energy weapons -, command and control solutions)
• To counter unmanned aerial, ground, surface or underwater vehicles, including those controlled remotely or operating autonomously using advanced software and sensors
• To support the common procurement of ammunition, missiles and other explosive weapons able to perform guided strikes, or parts thereof, contributing to replenishment of stocks

Eligibility

• Be contracting authorities, international organisations, SEAPs or EDA within the meaning of Articles 11, 27(1) and 42 of the EDIP Regulation
• Beneficiaries and affiliated entities must register in the Participant Register before submitting the proposal.
• Single applicants may apply only if they are a SEAP.
• Consortia composed of at least 3 contracting authorities from 3 different EU Member States or EDIP associated countries, of which at least 2 must be contracting authorities from 2 EU Member States must be constituted.

Additional information

• Initial duration of the action: between 24 and 60 months

Projects of longer duration may be accepted in duly justified cases. Extensions are possible, if duly justified and through an amendment.

  • EDIP-P-2026-FNLC-CPA-AMEW: 60 million euros
• Amount of the grant: maximum 20.000.000 euros

The grant awarded may be lower than the amount requested.

This grant is a lump sum grant.
