Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To promote dialogue and cooperation with local Arctic communities, including Indigenous Peoples, in order to foster a more integrated maritime and coastal governance
  • To support the sustainable and inclusive economic development of Arctic communities, including Indigenous communities, with a strong focus on blue economy activities
  • To enhance synergies with existing related projects

Priorities

  • Priority 1: competitiveness and entrepreneurship for sustainable development and circular economy In the Arctic
  • Priority 2: promotion of the value of local and Indigenous knowledge in advancing innovation, circular economy practices, and sustainable development across the Arctic

Eligibility

  • Be legal entities (public or private bodies)
  • Be established in one of the eligible countries:
    • EU Member States (including overseas countries and territories)
    • Arctic EEA, non-EU countries: Norway and Iceland
    • Be Arctic-related organisations, including:
      • Organisations representing Arctic municipalities;
      • Arctic youth organisations;
      • Arctic Indigenous Peoples’ organisations;
      • Arctic economic organisations;
      • Arctic political organisations;
      • Arctic civil society organisations
  • Beneficiaries and affiliated entities must register in the Participant Register before submitting the proposal
  • A consortium composed of at least 2 independent entities, established in at least 2 different eligible countries must be constituted.
  • The coordinator must be established in an EU Member State.

  • Initial duration of the action: between 30 and 36 months

Extensions are possible, if duly justified and through an amendment.

  • Amount of the grant: maximum 300.000 euros

The grant awarded may be lower than the amount requested.

  • Funding rate: up to 80% of the total eligible costs
