Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To develop employees’ involvement in undertakings by raising awareness and contributing to the application of European Union law and policies in this area
  • To support projects which seek to help accompany through social dialogue at company level the significant changes driven by industry transitions and, in particular, the take-up and effective functioning of European Works Councils

Priorities

  • Priority 1 : Promoting exchange and wider dissemination of knowledge and good practices and  supporting the setting up and good functioning of European Works Councils
  • Priority 2 : Supporting workers’ involvement in the anticipation and management of change and the prevention and resolution of disputes in the event of various forms of restructuring in EU level undertakings and groups of undertakings,

Among financed actions

  • Training actions, manuals and outreach activities
  • Exchange of information and good practices
  • Analysis of quantitative and qualitative aspects
  • Dissemination of information on project activities

Eligibility

  • Be a legal entity (public or private body)
  • The organisations of social partners without legal personality are also eligible under more precise condtions (see details on the call document)
  • Be representative of workers or employers (see details on the call document)
  • Be established in one of the eligible countries:
    • EU Member States
    • Non-EU countries (not for coordinator and single applicant) — Candidate Countries: Türkiye, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Albania, Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia, Bosnia and Herzegovina
  • Single applicants are only eligible if the entity is either a trade union or employers’ organisation.
  • A consortium composed of at least two applicants (beneficiaries; not affiliated entities), from minimum 2 different eligible countries must be constituted
    • the coordinator shall be a European, national or regional level workers’ or employers’ organisation;
    • if the coordinator is not a European-level workers’ or employers’ organisation, the action must involve other beneficiaries from more than one Member State or Candidate Country
  • Beneficiaries and affiliated entities must register in the Participant Register before submitting the proposal

  • Initial duration of the action: between 18 and 24 months

Extensions are possible, if duly justified and through an amendment

  • Total budget of the call: 2.5 million euros
  • Amount of the grant: between 250 000 euros and 350 000 euros
  • Funding rate: up to 90 %of the total eligible costs

The grant awarded may be lower than the amount requested.
