Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To optimise production processes and increase resources efficency through digital solutions
  • To develop social sustainable and human-centric manufacturing
  • To foster environmentally sustainable manufacturing through circular business models and new technologies

Among financed actions

  • AI system that support forecasting and prediction to avoid peak load and bottleneck, improving energy and resource management in critical scenarios
  • Simulation tool to reduce engineering time and material purchase by designing reconfigurable equipment adjusting to new production processes and limit the construction/purchase of new single-use machines
  • Process design solutions to improve safety in human-machine collaborative workplaces
  • Programming by doing solutions, enabling operators to rely on no-code or lowcode interfaces allowing for complex tasks to be executed
  • Solutions that improve the inclusiveness of the work environment and the ways in which unskilled or low-skilled labour can participate on the shopfloor
  • Implementation of the Digital Product Passport concept providing relevant data on product life cycle and end-of-life, increasing the return rate of end-of-life products
  • Manufacturing-as-a-service business model implemented in one or more value chains
  • New methodology guidelines and digital solutions to make the remanufacturing of complex products easier
  • Developing and integrating repair and detection technology within the production system

Additional information

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals.
  • Initial duration of the action: between 12 and 18 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person
  • Be a public or private entity
  • A consortium composed of at least 3 entities, established in at least 3 different EU Member States or associated countries to the programme
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 7.500.000 euro
  • Total budget of the topic:
    • Topic 1: between 2 and 3 million euro
    • Topic 2: between 1 and 2 million euro
    • Topic 3: between 2.500.000 and 4.500.000 euro
  • Amount of the grant: between 600.000 and 900.000 euro
  • Co-financing rate: between 30% and 40% of the total eligible costs
