Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To foster the competitiveness and efficiency of the EDTIB by speeding up its adjustment to the new security environment
  • To foster cooperation in defence procurement processes between participating Member States and associated countries

Among financed actions

  • Actions involving cooperation between the eligible entities referred to in Article 10 for common procurement addressing the most urgent and critical defence products needs and implementing the objectives set out in Article 3 EDIRPA Regulation
  • They involve new cooperation, including within an existing framework, or an extension of existing cooperation to at least one new Member State or associated country
  • They are carried out by a consortium of at least three Member States or associated country
  • They fulfil the additional conditions set out in Article 9 EDIRPA Regulation

Eligibility

  • Be public authorities or procurement agents within the meaning of Articles 2 and 10 of the EDIRPA Regulation
  • Be from an eligible country:
    • EU Member State (including overseas countries and territories)
    • listed EEA countries (‘EDIRPA associated countries’: Click here)
  • A consortium composed of at least 3 entities, established in at least 3 different EU Member States or EDIRPA associated countries

Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 103.2 million euro
  • Amount of the grant:
    • by default: 45 million euro or 15% of the estimated value of the common procurement – whichever is lower
    • for actions where Ukraine or Moldova are recipients of additional quantities of defence products: 60 million euro or 20% of the estimated value of the common procurement – whichever is lower
    • for actions where at least 15% of the estimated value of the common procurement is allocated to SMEs or midcaps as contractors or subcontractors: 60 million euro or 20% of the estimated value of the common procurement – whichever is lower
