Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To contribute to the implementation of the EU’s policy objectives
  • To include halting biodiversity loss
  • To support the transition to a circular economy
  • To protect natural resources, and support the 2030 energy/climate framework and 2050 climate neutrality goals
  • To build capacity and stimulate investments for energy efficiency and small-scale renewables

Priorities

  • Priority 1: To improve the understanding of the actual impacts of EU Ecodesign and Energy Labelling Regulations
  • Priority 2: To strengthen foresters’ skill, New European Bauhaus for sustainable urban spaces
  • Priority 3: To fight environmental crime, NGO participation in ESPR implementation, capacity building on results-based payment schemes for biodiversity
  • Priority 4: To support  Circular Business Model Mainstreaming and a Climate Proof Pollution Alert model
  • Priority 5: To accelerate the green transition by testing integrated innovative solutions addressing energy, nature and climate in urban areas

  • Implementing in-situation measurement campaigns
  • Preparing and delivering training and guidance materials
  • Developing tools/methodologies
  • Knowledge creation and sharing
  • Capacity building and advisory support
  • Setting up peer-to-peer networks, implementing alert models
  • Testing/demonstrating integrated innovative solutions in urban spaces

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person
  • Be a public or private entityBe established in one of the eligible countries:
    • EU Member States (including overseas countries and territories)
    • Non-EU states: listed EEA countries and countries associated to the LIFE Programme (Click here)
  • The coordinator must be established in an eligible country
  • A consortium composed of
    • at least 3 entities, from 3 different eligible countries (see details on the call document) must be constituted (LIFE-2025-PLP-ENER)
    • either forest agencies, administrations and/or forest organisations covering directly and/or through their membership at least two- third of the EU Member States (LIFE-2025-PLP-NAT-ENV)
    • a coordinator who must be a local authority or a grouping of local authorities(LIFE-2025-PLP-URBAN)
