  • Action must take place on the territory of Uganda

Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To support social accountability for service delivery
  • To promote youth’s empowerment and participation in policy and development processes
  • To prevent and respond to teenage pregnancies

Priorities

  • Priority 1: working with local and grass roots CSOs
  • Priority 2: capacity development for local and grassroots CSOs
  • Priority 3: use of a rights-based approach and gender sensitive

Among financed actions

  • Actions that enable citizens to hold government to account for poor or non-delivery of social services
  • Actions which enable citizens, vulnerable categories (e.g. women, youth, PWDs, refugees etc.) and CSOs to demand for good governance, greater accountability and responsiveness of the public authorities and service providers
  • Actions that give local leaders a voice to speak on issues pertaining to their locality
  • Actions that seek to enhance Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) in young people with the aim to prevent and address child rape / defilement, prevent teenage pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases among others
  • Actions that address stigma caused by teenage pregnancy

  • This call for proposals is an open call for proposals
  • Initial duration of the action: between 24 and 48 months

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person
  • Be a non-profit-making entity
  • Be a CSO
  • Be established in Uganda or in one of the countries eligible under Regulation (EU) 2021/947 Of The European Parliament And Of The Council Of 9 June 2021 establishing the Neighbourhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument – Global Europe
Financement
  • Amont of the grant:
    • Lot 1, 2 (a) and 3: between 400,000 and 600,000 euro
    • Lot 2, sub lot (b): 75,000 euro
  • Co-financing rate: between 50 and 95% of the total eligible costs
