Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To help strengthen fundamental rights and rule of law in the Lao PDR, with a focus on girls and women, especially from ethnic groups and/or migrant workers in rural areas
  • To contribute to work towards the elimination of child labour both in terms of prevention and response in the Lao PDR, in line with Government policies in this area
  • To promote women and young girls rights, contributing to their social and economic empowerment at the local and national level

Priorities

  • Priority 1: To promote child rights and responsible trade and investments in the Lao PDR under the Green and Inclusive Economy priority area in the MIP
  • Priority 2: To focus on three domains: women’s access to economic assests, services and opportunities; enabling environment; and women’s voice and agency, in line with the 2nd National Plan of Action on Preventing and Elimination of Violence Against Woman and Violence against Children (2021-2025), and the 4th National Plan of Action on Gender Equality (2021-2025)

Among financed actions

  • Actions to contribute to the prevention and elimination of child labour and forced labour
  • Actions to promote women and girls’ social and economic empowerment especially linked to social and economic rights

  • This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. In first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated.
  • Initial duration of the action: between 36 and 48 months
Financement
  • Total budget of the call: 2.660.000 euro
  • Amount per lots:
    • Lot 1: 1 million euro
    • Lot 2: 1.660.000 euro
  • Amount of the grant per lots:
    • Lot 1: 1 million euro
    • Lot 2: 1.660.000 euro
  • Co-financing rate: between 80% and 90% of the total eligible costs
