A vote of the European Parliament on the mobilization of the European Solidarity Fund to help countries fight against COVID-19

The MEPs will vote on Thursday 26 March on the European Commission proposal to allow member states to request financial assistance from the EU Solidarity Fund in their fight against Covid-19.

La Commission propose de mobiliser rapidement les réserves de liquidités des Fonds structurels et d’investissement européens (ESIF) – l’argent de cohésion de l’UE. Cela permettra de fournir immédiatement des liquidités aux budgets des États membres. Cela permettra de concentrer l’utilisation des 37 milliards d’euros non encore alloués dans le cadre des programmes de la politique de cohésion 2014-2020, ce qui donnera un coup de fouet aux investissements économiques.
