EUROPEAN DEFENCE FUND (EDF) – 2nd call for proposals for common procurement actions under the Programme – 2027

Objectives

• To support the common procurement of integrated, multilayered, air and missile defence, or parts thereof including sensors kinetic or non-kinetic effectors, command and control
• To support the common procurement of a wide range of capabilities or systems of ground and naval platforms or parts thereof
• To support the common procurement of C5ISR or other space-related defence capabilities and systems

Eligibility

• Be contracting authorities, international organisations, SEAPs or EDA within the meaning of Articles 11, 27(1) and 42 of the EDIP Regulation
• Beneficiaries and affiliated entities must register in the Participant Register before submitting the proposal
• Single applicants may apply only if they are a SEAP.
• A consortium composed of at least 3 contracting authorities from 3 different EU Member States or EDIP associated countries, of which at least 2 must be contracting authorities from 2 EU Member States (only beneficiaries count; not affiliated entities) must be constituted.

Additional information

• Initial duration of the action: between 24 and 60 months

Projects of longer duration may be accepted in duly justified cases. Extensions are possible, if duly justified and through an amendment.

• Budget per topic:
  • EDIP-P-2027-FNLC-CPA-AMDS: 60 million euros
  • EDIP-P-2027-FNLC-CPA-GNPS: 60 million euros
  • EDIP-P-2027-FNLC-CPA-C5ISRS: 30 million euros
• Amount of the grant: maximum 20 million euros

The grant awarded may be lower than the amount requested.

This grant is a lump sum grant.
