Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To strengthen the competitiveness, responsiveness and ability of the EDTIB to reinforce EU industrial production capacity for key electronic components that constitute critical bottlenecks for key defence product
  • To strengthen the competitiveness, responsiveness and ability of the EDTIB to reinforce EU industrial production capacity for key platforms and end-products

Priorities

  • Priority 1: demonstrate the criticality of the targeted defence and associated production capacity
  • Priority 2: justify the urgency of reinforcing availability and security of supply through the proposed industrial reinforcement activities
  • Priority 3: set out an industrial reinforcement plan supported by a riskmanagement approach that addresses the identified risks and the measures to ensure availability and security of supply

Eligibility

  • Be legal entities (public or private bodies)
  • Be established in one of the eligible countries:
    • EU Member States (including overseas countries and territories)
    • Non-EU states: listed EEA countries and countries associated to the EDIP Programme (‘EDIP associated countries’; list of participating countries)
  • Have their executive management structure established in eligible countries.
  • Not be subject to control by a non-associated third country or non-associated third-country entity.
  • Beneficiaries and affiliated entities must register in the Participant Register before submitting the proposal.
  • Single applicants or consortia may apply.
  • Consortia must not exceed 15 legal entities.

Additional information

  • Initial duration of the action: between 36 and 60 months

Projects of longer duration may be accepted in duly justified cases. Extensions are possible, if duly justified and through an amendment.

  • Total budget of the call: 275 million euros
  • Budget per topic:
    • EDF-EDIP-P-2027-LS-IRA-KEC: 122.25 million euros
    • EDF-EDIP-P-2027-LS-IRA-PE: 152.75 million euros
  • Amount of the grant: between 20.000.000 and 30.000.000 euros

The grant awarded may be lower than the amount requested.

  • Funding rate: up to 35% of the total eligible costs

You can apply for a higher project funding rate (42,5 or 50%) if your project is a ‘priority action’ (see details on the call document).

This grant is a lump sum grant.
