A support of 200 million euro to social projects in France and Germany

The two social projects supported by the EIB adress urban development in France and the production of equipements for disabled people in Germany.

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is investing 200 million euro to finance a platform dedicated to urban development projects for French territories, and a German company that manufactures prostheses and wheelchairs.
The EIB is financing the “Urban Development” platform with 100 million euro for more inclusive, sustainable and attractive territories. The EIB is also providing Ottobock with 100 million euro to support its investment programme in the field of prostheses, orthotics and human mobility.
The EIB funds are guaranteed by the European Strategic Investment Fund (ESIF) of the Investment Plan for Europe. In November 2019, the Investment Plan has already mobilised 450.6 billion euro of investment across Europe and supported more than one million small and medium-sized enterprises.
