The Association of the Overseas Countries and Territories and Greenland aims to promote the economic and social development of the Overseas Countries and Territories and to establish close economic relations between them and the Union as a whole.
Objectives
- To encourage and foster cooperation with the Overseas Countries and Territories
- To assist and cooperate with Greenland in addressing the major challenges facing Greenland, such as the need to improve the level of education, and to contribute to the strengthening of the capacity of the Greenland administration to formulate and implement national policies

- Mitigation of climate change and adaptation to its consequences
- Action in favour of disaster risk reduction
- Promotion of research, innovation and scientific cooperation activities
- Promotion of social, cultural and economic exchanges between the OCTs, their neighbors and other partners
